Climbing

at Simonside Outdoor Adventure

We have a range of climbing walls for you to try out varying in height from 5m up to 9.5m.  We have 51 climbing lines,  8 Clip & Climb walls and a boulder wall to choose from.  We also have a Trailblazer Traverse Wall which is an interactive climbing wall and a Sky Climb wall which allows you to compete against yourself or another climber whilst chasing the highest score.

We have several options available for you to choose from; All include entry, staff supervision, harnesses and other associated equipment to help you climb.

Public Climbing 

We are open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday evenings from 5.30-7.15 & 7.30-9.15.  All sessions must be pre booked in advance by contacting the centre on 0191 4240118.  U18's £4pp 18+ £5pp. Aged from 3 years up if accompanied by a participating adult.

Group bookings 

Voluntary organisation or a uniformed services can book bespoke sessions which can either be self-led (dependant upon qualifcations) or staffed by our instructors.  These sessions cost £4pp and are also take place during our public climbing session dates and times.

Birthday Parties

Our birthday parties take place on a Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday evenings from 5.30-7.30 or 7.30-9.15.  They cost £100 for the first 10 then £5pp thereafter up to a maximum of 12 children.  The climbing party includes, staff, equipment, approx 1.5 hours of climbing, use of the kitchen area and a private seating area for food, cake and candles afterwards.  Booking by contacting the centre, a £50 deposit is required to secure your preferred date.  The remaining balance is to be paid on the evening of the party.
