Qualifications:

Martin is the Head of Centre and Duke of Edinburgh's Award manager for South Tyneside. He is a Duke of Edinburgh's Accredited Assessor, holds Single Pitch Award, Mountain Leader, Mountain Bike Leader (MBL + night ride leader) BCU Level 3 Sea Kayak Coach, BCU White Water Safety & Open Boat 4 Star Leader  (moderate water endorsement). RLSS Instructor for National Water Safety Management Programme, GNAS Archery Leader, RYA Powerboat and Personal Watercraft Instructor and holds a Mountain First Aid Certificate. Martin has a Sports Science degree and has attended BMC FUNdamentals & Learning to Train workshops. He is an approved CWMA Route Setter, and is currently working towards his Mountain Instructor Award. Martin is an approved tutor and assessor for first aid awards including all the usual but also Catastrophic Bleed & Airway Management, Forestry, Outdoor First and Hostile Environment Trauma Care.  He is able to deliver OEAP EVC, group leader visit training and outdoor Learning Card training also.
